The roll-out for the upcoming album ‘Cautionary Tales’ has been quite the journey. As the duo preps to release their third single in 3 months; ‘Second Floor’ provides a nice change of pace from what we have already heard. This aggressive, slow-burn of a song shows a side to this album we have yet to see.
While previous singles (‘Pitfalls’ & ‘Make It Rain’) have been lighter in terms of content and production; ‘Second Floor’ grabs your ears immediately, and forces you to pay attention. The hook is infectious; and the beat-drop is a welcomed addition.
We will have to wait to hear how the rest of the album sounds; but for now, it seems very promising. Take a listen for yourself, as we wait for the rest of ‘Cautionary Tales’ to release digitally on October 20th.
